Pastors Biography PDF Print E-mail

PASTOR GILYARD, a native of Tampa Florida reared under the tutelage of two generations of leaders in the Church of God in Christ. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and the call to ministry at a young age. He was ordained as an Elder at the age of twenty by the Late Bishop W.E. Davis, Jurisdictional Prelate of Southwestern Florida Church of God in Christ. During his tenure in the ministry, Elder Gilyard has held numerous positions of Leadership Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor and
District Evangelist.

In 1995, Pastor recognized that God was inspiring him to move forward into full time Evangelistic ministry. By faith he became a "spiritual nomad" moving as God allowed. During this full time evangelical thrust, Revealing Power Evangelistic Ministry, birthed Y.E.S (Young Enthusiastic Saints) and founded the Y.E.S National Conference.

Upon relocation to New Jersey, he has served as the Jurisdic-tional Evangelist President, New Jersey Third Ecclesiastical Jur-isdiction, C.O.G.I.C., National Evangelist, C.O.G.I.C., First Assistant Director North East Regional Department of Evangelism.

Seven years after traveling as a full time evangelist, God compelled him to step into a new dimension accepting the Pastorate. Through much opposition, he has obeyed the voice of God establishing the Bethlehem - Judah Christian Fellowship Church also known as "the House of Bread and Praise". In 2003, he was elevated to Superintendent of the Kingdom Fellowship District within the New Garden State Jurisdiction under Presiding Prelate Bishop W.T. Cahoon.

It is the Prayer of Pastor Gilyard that the preaching uttered from his lips be both an outreach and an in-reach to all that hear the Word and that the spoken Word be filled with compassion, revelation and a true deliverance experience that changes the lives of the masses.
